Allegra Burton, MPH, RDN

I am a registered dietitian nutritionist, health educator, and athlete committed to helping people lead healthier lives through nutrition and health education and awareness.  I have extensive experience as a clinical and private practice dietitian and as a writer, editor and public speaker.

I have been educating consumers and professionals about nutrition for over 15 years. I help guide and coach people in the areas of weight management, sports nutrition, prenatal and postnatal nutrition, pediatric/kids nutrition, cholesterol management, hypertension, diabetes management and more through my private consulting practice. In addition, I am also a health and fitness writer and editor and regularly contribute to health-related publications and websites.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).  I completed my registered dietitian internship at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and am a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

I am also a five-time NCAA All-American in Cross Country and Track, and continue to be an avid runner and yoga enthusiast.

And, most importantly of all, I am a mom - and have first-hand experience and knowledge about kids and nutrition.
